The Patriots and Lobos will square off for a chance to play in the Paradise Jam championship game.
The George Mason men's basketball team plays New Mexico in the second round of the winner's bracket of the U.S. Virgin Islands Paradise Jam at 6 p.m. ET.
The Patriots head into the contest with a 2-1 record. George Mason picked up a 52-49 win over Mercer in the first round of the Paradise Jam on Friday night. Johnny Williams led the charge for the Patriots, scoring 16 points and bringing down 10 rebounds. Sherrod Wright added 14 points himself.
The Lobos are 2-0 this season. New Mexico pushed the University of Illinois Chicago to the loser's bracket with a 66-59 win Friday. New Mexico was led by Kendall Williams, who scored 23 points. He hit 12-of-13 free throws and was 5-of-12 from the field.
Wright is George Mason's leading scorer through three games this season. He's averaging 15 points per game on 57 percent shooting from the field. Williams is second on the team with 10.7 points per game.
The winner of this game will play in the Paradise Jam championship game on Monday against either Connecticut or Quinnipiac.
Sunday's game will air on the CBS Sports Network.
